Membership

The Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario (ICSWO) is a religious charitable corporation registered in Ontario.

To gain access and contribute to the various committees, to be entitled to vote,  and to be elected to the board of Directors, one must apply to be a member, pay the annual fees and receive confirmation of acceptance from the Board of Directors of ICSWO. Annual fees are considered donations and may be a onetime payment or monthly. Fees must be paid in full three (3) months before end of year.

Membership term commences Jan 1 and terminates Dec 31 each year. Membership classes are “individual” and “family”. Family membership entitles the household to two votes at Annual and Special meetings of membership. Membership is only available to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants who are permanent residents in Canada and who are eighteen years of age, and who subscribe to the ideals and objectives of the ICSWO. Membership is not transferable.

To be entitled to vote and/or be nominated to the board of directors, one must be a member for an uninterrupted period of three years and has shown commitment and contribution to the ICSWO.
