ISLAMIC CENTRE SUMMER CAMP
The Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario provides a summer camp for children ages of 4 to 12, which run for a period of 4 to 8 weeks during the months of July to August. Our camps consist of an engagement platform with the campers that focuses on a skill learnings, group activities with an Islamic background of teaching. We provide certain tools to problem-solve, create, work in teams, and use critical thinking. Our goal for our campers is to grow and learn while having an opportunity to engage in joyful activities that are provided. Our weekly schedules vary from trips to local community centres, splash pad sites and adventurous play parks. The Islamic Centre Summer Camp is another unique venue for growth, allowing kids to become independent and self-confident, while socializing, and making new friends. All our camp programs are funded by Jumpstart which helps the campers learn certain athletic skills with the proper assistance.
MARCH BREAK CAMP
The Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario March Break Madness Camps is one opportunity to give your children a chance to experience a magical week at the Centre. We provide exceptional areas of growth during the one week in March. This program will run, during the school March Break week from the Monday to Friday. The campers will experience, learn and grow within our programs. The weekly schedule consists of one trip or special visitor, every activity is based on a fun and group incorporated activity for our campers to enjoy a full day of fun. During our camp we incorporate an Islamic Study, to help them learn basic tips about Islam. The March Break Camp teaches kids to become independent and self-confident, while socializing, and making new friends based on our activities. All our camp programs are funded by Jumpstart which helps the campers learn certain athletic skills with the proper assistance.
All of our camps are organized and supervised by post-secondary students who are First Aid and CPR Certified. Counsellors have previous experience working with children and attend a 1 day training program at the Islamic Centre which provides counsellors with different scenarios and the correct tools and resources to deal with them.
