Education

Islam is a way of life that each Muslim follows to the best of his/her ability. To learn this way of life, one must know how Allah (God) intended for us to live it. Sources of this knowledge are the Quran and the Sunna (teachings and practice) of Prophet Mohammad. Our education programs are designed to facilitate this knowledge to both the young and the old with emphasis on reading the text of the Quran, understanding the text of the Quran, and emulating the life of the Prophet and his character. This is done through classes, lectures and roll modeling.

Our programs are age related. The weekend school attempts to supplement parental efforts at home. We teach Qur’anic recitation, Qur’anic language (Arabic), Morals, Islamic History and how to pray. More emphasis on Qur’anic studies is provided at another evening school conducted on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Youth are given a chance to access Islamic education in a free style interaction through a weekly discussion circle.
Considering specificity of women’s issues, a special women’s discussion circle is held.

Everyone could benefit from the Sunday family oriented talks.
In addition to the above, there are specialized educational programs like the annual conference, mid Ramadan seminar, family issues workshop, marriage preparedness workshop, parenting workshop, Khateeb training workshop, Zakat training workshop, Islamic Will workshop and handling the dead workshop.
